Great experience at Hook & Cleaver! I recently visited Hook & Cleaver and was impressed with the quality of the food and service. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a quiet meal. We started with the fresh seafood starters, which were simply delicious. The main course was a paella accompanied by excellent sides. The attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes and the combination of flavors was top notch. The service was impeccable – the staff were attentive and helpful, especially Peter Michael (Pedro Miguel) who always had a smile. In addition, the wine list offers an excellent selection to accompany the dishes. Definitely a place I recommend and will be back soon!

2024 Haven't been here for several years so first time under the new ownership and boy do I love the way that they refurbished the place. The decor is so excellent and we went early enough in the day that we were able to get a nice window seating with no problem. I had the French dip and it was really excellent. I could eat half and so I had the other half for dinner which was a nice value. But what I had for appetizers was the halibut croquettes. Oh my mouth is watering now. They were so perfectly prepared and plated. They were breaded and crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside with something yellow. I don't know if it was corn or a yellow flower or what but it was just really broke open so easily and nicely. I also enjoyed taking a bite out of salad. house salad was delicious and the bacon jam on toast was really really yummy .Daughter had the tuna fish melt. Son had hamburger and they were both beyond expectation. This is a real treat. Wonderful memory!.

I don’t like trying out new places because I rarely eat out and want to make sure that when I do, that it’s perfect. My husband and I thought that trying out their Happy Hour yesterday for my birthday would be a safe way to check them out. I am so happy that we did! Everything was phenomenal. The calamari was unlike any I’ve ever had. It was huge pieces and perfectly breaded and seasoned. I did ask for a side of chili sauce since I felt like fried food needs some acidity and spice and not a creamy sauce. We ordered the ahi poke, and I’m so glad we did cuz normally I’m not a fan of poke, but I really loved the one they served at Hook & Cleaver. It was fresh and I loved all the textures and flavors of the dish. We also got a cup of clam chowder which was awesome. Chunks of clam pieces in every spoonful. I think I enjoyed it better than the popular competition’s down the street. We also got the Wagyu burger and fries. The burger was nice, I think the burger toppings needed to be more “full” and crunchier but I still enjoyed it. The best part of the burger tho, were the fries. Those fries are out of this world delish. Especially with a side of their ranch and that chili sauce I asked for. We will definitely be back! I was dreaming of their fries all day today. I’m super grateful that they gave me a complimentary scoop of icecream for my birthday! Such a nice touch. Thanks for the perfect dining out experience

Overall: Great!! My partner and I got the 32oz steak to share, and honestly both my partner and I agreed that it was probably one, if not the best steak we've ever had. The roasted carrots were super sweet and tender, and the drinks were great as well. 10/10.

We had 9 of our Red Hatters to Hook and Cleaver. The area we had was nice for a larger group. The crab cakes where outstanding and the Chocolate creme Burlee was wonderful along with the Blue Violet martini. The staff (especially Phil) was very efficient and even told us a couple of jokes. You cant get enough of the beautiful view and sunset.

Thank you to Thomas for the prompt service and friendly conversation as my family and I celebrated a belated Mother’s Day this evening. Great views and a lovely dinner was just what I needed. Best potato wedges I’ve ever had anywhere. The Steak skewers with honey garlic sauce were absolutely divine. I could make a meal out of the steak skewers with honey garlic sauce and those wedges. -The Sevilla Family

First time at this new restaurant and let me tell you I wasn't disappointed. Went here for Easter brunch with the family about 10 or more of us. We all could have conversations and hear each other. The service was fantastic. I attached a photo of my steak and eggs I got. That steak was so moist, not a dry bite. I really suggest trying this place out. I have tried dinner, but they for sure got a great brunch and lunch menu. Another cool thing is if you got kids they would probably live sitting near the windows and watching the boats and the trains that come by. I know my kid loved it. Give them a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
